The YZF-R1 will be available in three colour options next year: Competition white with a red frame, Yamaha Blue and Midnight Black. Before having seen it in person I would have preferred if Yamaha had abandoned classic styling our test unit up close in its Pearl White/Rapid Red colors it became obvious how wrong I was. The new R1 is truly the evolution of contemporary sportbike Yamaha’s YZF-R6 will be available in three colors: grey ($10,990) and red or Yamaha Blue for $11,190. The YZF-R1 returns with three color schemes: grey for $14,290 and either red or Yamaha Blue for an additional $200.
